Why do economics experts say farming is a horrible business?

In 2011 the average age of a farmer is 58 years old. That means in 10 years the average age will be 68. It doesn't take a roomful of geniuses to figure out, there is no capital in farming. People take jobs on farms when they have no other job options and they want to work for food. If I were an economist, I'd say "let's put the capital back in capitalism". In the endless stretch of the concrete metropolis, there are millions of evil men. IN ORDER FOR America's economy to avoid utter failure, the prisoner population must be appropriated. And I say they should be tending to our golden fields!!! Those who have killed for $33 in a cash register should grow WHEAT, not sit in confinement.
