If there is enough food to go around for the entire world, then why isn't hunger solved?

If everyone had food, there'd be less reproduction (the biological mechanism that is homo sapien kicks into emergency reproduction mode, as many kids as possible, hopefully some make it to adulthood, when food resources are scarce... this is why 1st world countries have low reproduction rates)... and we'd also solve our population problem.
